I have a question to ask any sewing readers out there.
What type/brand sewing machine do you use??
I’ve been hunting and researching to find the best one. Does anyone have any recommendations?
So far I’ve checked out the Husqvarna Emerald Viking 183. I really liked it – its definitely a huge step up from my older Singer, but I’ve read so many mixed reviews online I’d distraught on what to do.
I contacted a Janome dealer and figured I’d check out those ones. I want a computerized model, but don’t need any embroidering.
I’ve read some good reviews on the Project Runway model from Brother which is less $$.
Help me out, plllleeeeeeeaaasssseeee. :)

3 *I'd love to hear what you have to say*:
I have a Janome that I love to sew on. It has been a very dependable machine. No problems, ever. It is 6 years old now and I still love it. I also have a Brother ULT2003D sewing / embroidery machine that I love too. Both are very good. I would not buy one of the cheaper Brother machines. A friend bought one of the $300 models and it doesn't do very well.
I just purchased a new Brother SE400 and I am very happy with it. The machine is definitely user friendly and affordable. It does include the embroidery but if you don't need it, they have a similar model without. I have only had the machine for a few months but so far, no problems!
I'm a sewing beginner and purchased my first sewing machine in November. I have the Brother HS-2000 from HSN.com - I love it! Very easy to use and I haven't had any issues with it!! Good luck in your sewing machine hunt - it's such a difficult decision!
